TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE CITROËN RACING TROPHY UK 2012!
3/9/2012

There is certainly a lot happening regarding the newly announced Citroën Racing Trophy UK 2012, especially for the forthcoming Bulldog Rally on 23rd/24th March, round two of the new look British Rally Championship. The latest news is that DGMSPORT will have two brand new Citroën DS3 R3’s available for the event. The machines will be provided in an arrive and drive package or tailored quotation for potential drivers on British, Irish and European events.

DGMSPORT Managing Director David Greer is indeed excited about this new venture.”I am looking forward to building a strong relationship with Citroën. They have set an example of their commitment to excellence in the World Championship Campaigns with the Saxo, Xsara, C4 and C2. The development and engineering of the DS3 R3 has harnessed the best of Citroen’s decade at the pinnacle of rallying to produce the ultimate R3 class car. DGMSPORT has a strong pedigree within the one make challenge format and we are excited to be working with Raymond Moore and Charles Hurst.”

The DGMSPORT team will carry the Citroen Racing Trophy spare parts and provide technical assistance on event for all the DS3 drivers and teams. Trophy co-coordinator Raymond Moore is very happy with the new announcement. “I am pleased to be working with DGM on this, and I believe this will greatly benefit all of the BRC DS3 customers. Now they will have a full range of spares on event, from a 10p screw to a complete gearbox, and also technical advice to help keep the cars running correctly. With DGM also purchasing two new DS3’s there is now a great opportunity for other driver’s to join the series, so things are really moving forward.”

Citroen entries for the Bulldog rally include longtime Rallye Sunseeker leader Jarkko Nikara, Desi Henry who finished a fine second, Osian Pryce who took fourth, and Tom Cave who hopes to debut his DS3. With two hire cars now also available the Citroen ranks are swelling and with €11,000 in prize money on offer for each of the coming rounds the incentive’s are high. With the MSA British Rally Championship catering for two wheel drive cars from this season onwards, overall honors are at stake, and Citroen UK, currently second in the manufacturer’s series would very much like to climb one place higher.
